Amadeus International Names Valarie King-Bailey as New Marketing Vice President

Ms. King-Bailey to play a key role in the Company's commercial
development efforts in the U.S.

QUEBEC CITY, Jan. 20 - Amadeus International Inc. "Amadeus" (TSX-V: AML) is proud to announce the appointment of Valarie King-Bailey as its new vice president of marketing responsible for the development, implementation and management of Amadeus' worldwide marketing operations. Ms. King-Bailey will focus on driving product strategy, worldwide brand awareness and expanding the depth and breadth of the Amadeus marketing organization.

Ms. King-Bailey previously served as chief marketing officer for QUMAS, an Irish-based company, where she carved a new vertical market niche, enterprise compliance management, and helped deliver significant year-on-year growth for four consecutive years. Prior to QUMAS, Ms. King-Bailey delivered Abbott Laboratories Hospital Products Division's first 21 CFR Part 11- compliant system. She also served as the first ever Industry Development Manager at Documentum, where she led the development of Documentum's first off- the-shelf product DocControl Manager (DCM). Ms. King-Bailey began her career as a design engineer and product marketer with Intergraph Corporation, world's leading CAD/CAM software company, where she led marketing and technical sales efforts to help her region achieve status as the most profitable region for 10 consecutive years.

Ms. King-Bailey's more than twenty-five years of experience in product management, engineering and marketing will be of great benefit to the company. "Valarie brings a lot of energy, creativity and innovation to Amadeus. She will play a pivotal role in our major development projects, most notably in the U.S. market. I'm confident she will propel our marketing presence to new heights," said Alain Contant, president and chief executive officer for Amadeus International. "She not only has the right combination of executive leadership skills, compliance knowledge and marketing expertise, but she also has a deep passion for marketing - something that is very important to us."

Ms. King-Bailey holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Throughout her career, she has received many honors, including the Irish Software Association's "Marketing Innovation of the Year," 2001 runner up; Abbott Labs' Chairman's Award (2 consecutive years), Abbott Hospital Products Division Value Leadership Award, International Who's Who of Information Technology nominee, Documentum Significant Contributor Award, and many others.

Ms. King-Bailey is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and forums, and was recently featured in the debut issue of e-Pharmaceutical Solutions magazine. She is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA), American Marketing Association, and the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS).
